Eligibility
Candidates seeking admission to post Graduate Programme in communication and management must have a bachelor's degree (graduation) from recognized University / Institution.
Courseware and Medium of Instruction
The programs will be conducted in the distance learning mode.
Courseware will be provided to students covering the syllabus.
Additionally a few lectures would be conducted for facilitation and
doubt clearing. The medium of instruction for all such lectures will
be English except in case of students who opt for Group C1-Jounalism.
Students of Group C1-Journalism can take up the course in
Gujrati/English.
Program Cycle
Students may enroll to any Post-Graduate group round the year. External examinations will be conducted twice a year,in November and April. To be eligible for a specific round of examinations, a student will be required to register for the program by June 30th for being eligible to appear for exams to be conducted in November of the same calendar year and by November 30th for being eligible to appear for exams to be conducted in April in the next calendar year. Students will be required to complete the course work and internal evaluations as explained later in the documents.
Study Paper
The student has to present a study paper based on his/her
knowledge and practical training that she/ he has acquired. The
student has to prepare a relevant study paper of minimum of 3000-4000 words.The final viva-vova will be based on your study paper.
Viva-Voce
1. Appearance at Viva Voce Test is Compulsory for every
candidate.
2. There will be a Viva Voce Test carrying 100 marks, to be taken
by every candidate. The Viva Voce will be carried out 15 days
before the commencement of the external examinations to which
the candidate has enrolled.
Examination Applications
Any eligible candidate (whose enrolment is confirmed by the MBIMC) intending to appear for the Examination must submit without fail his/her application in the prescribe form with passport size photograph affixed on it, and duly signed by him/her. Incomplete applications will not be entertained. Such applications, complete in all respects, and accompanied by cash bank draft for the requisite fees, etc. must be submitted without fail by 31st January for those who wish to appear for April Examinations and by 31st August for those who wish to appear for November Examination.
Completion of Examination within three Years
A candidate has to complete successfully all the papers within a prescribed period of three years from the month and year of the examination, for which he was eligible to appear for the first time. i.e. within six continuous attempts from the month and academic year of eligibility failing which the enrolment of the candidate will be deemed to be terminated and the candidate will be required to enroll afresh.
Cultural Heritage of India
The Paper on “Cultural Heritage of India” of 3 hours duration, and carrying 100 marks is compulsory for candidates of all the groups and the minimum percentage for passing is 40.
